Your mission As a Software Engineer in Trade Services, your mission is to build and scale the engine room of Bitpanda. You will own the core execution of every single trade, forging the high-throughput, financially critical backbone of our ecosystem.

What you’ll do

Building the core engine requires designing and developing scalable, resilient, message-driven services using Java to handle offers, trade requests, and money movement.

Ensuring quality involves writing clean and future-proof code with 80%+ unit test coverage, conducting thorough end-to-end and integration testing before deploying into an event-driven microservices architecture.

Optimizing execution flows for core trading modules—such as fee calculation, order execution, ledger writing, and wallet synchronization—guarantees total reliability, maintainability, performance, and scalability.

Driving innovation means researching and adopting the latest trends and technologies in backend development to ensure our core trading and ledger applications remain cutting-edge.
